What it is

BitVoyager teaches the command line and programming through a story. You crash-land on NEXUS-9 and the emergency terminal is the only system still answering. Each mission has a briefing, an objective and hints, and it is checked against what you actually did, such as whether the file exists or the output matches.

Real environments

The code you write really runs: Bash missions in a shell inside the page with its own filesystem, Python on CPython compiled to WebAssembly, and Lua on a Lua 5.3 VM. A sandbox mode drops the story and leaves the terminal, and task recommendations follow the commands you've already used.
