What Iris is

Iris is a voice assistant that runs entirely on the machine it is installed on. Wake word, transcription, the language model and speech synthesis are all local; there is no cloud account and no network request in the loop.

The four tools below are the parts of that system: the voice pipeline itself (Core), the terminal front end (Voice CLI), the agents that act on requests (Factory), and the memory that carries context between conversations (Memory).

Roadmap

Near term: the remaining core agents (planner, code, OS, git), CLI subcommands, and the first published latency and transcription-accuracy benchmarks. After that: noise suppression, session memory and voice selection. A native macOS app is in progress alongside the terminal interface.
