What it does

Iskra keeps a list of your repositories and runs git across all of them in one pass. Running iskra on its own diffs every tracked repository, skips the clean ones, writes a commit message for each change and pushes it. For work inside a single repository, iskra pulse groups the everyday operations under one command.

Quick start

iskra init        # scan a directory and track every repo found
iskra status      # status across all tracked repos

Commit messages

Messages follow Conventional Commits and are written from the diff by a local model through Ollama by default; OpenAI and Claude are optional providers. If no model answers, Iskra builds a conventional message from the diff itself, so a commit is never blocked on the AI.

Commands

Multi-repo: status, sync-all, exec "<cmd>", scan
Tracking: init, list, add, remove
Single repo: pulse commits the current repo; its subcommands are switch, rebase, reset, stash, tag, fixup, blame, cherry-pick and filter
GitHub: gh info, gh open, gh prs and a bulk clone, through the gh CLI
Inspection: log, diff, info, branches

Safety

Every command that writes accepts --dry-run. Committing to a protected branch (main, master and production by default) asks for confirmation first, and a .iskra.yaml in any repository overrides the global settings for it, for example to turn off auto-push. --only a,b limits a run to named repositories, and --json and --minimal make the output usable in scripts and CI.
